ABUBAKAR ABDU GIZA, FCNA – Born on the 7th of December, 1956, a native of Giza in Keana Local Government of Nasarawa State. He attended various educational institutions and obtained several educational qualifications as follows:- First School Leaving Certificate from Doma Native Authority School, Doma, Benue Plateau State; WASC from Government College Makurdi, Benue Plateau State (1976); Associate Degree in Accounting, Ashebon College, North Carolina, USA (1979); B.Sc. Accounting, University of North Carolina, Greensboro, USA (1983); Fellow Certified National Accountant (FCAN) (2001); Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (2009). He has held several key positions in the Federal Civil Service among which are Chief Accountant, Federal Ministry of Works and Housing (2000 – 2001); Assistant Director (Accounts), (Pension Accounts), Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (2002 – 2005); Deputy Director (Accounts), Pension Accounts), Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation (2005 – 2007); Deputy Director (Accounts), Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation (2007 – 2008); Ag. Director (Finance & Accounts), Public Complaints Commission, Headquarters (2008 – 2009); Director (Finance & Accounts) Nigeria Immigration Service (2009 – 2011); Director (Inspectorate), Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation (2011 – April 2013). He is presently the Director (Revenue & Investment), Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation. He served in several committees some of which are Committee to fashion out pension payment HOS; Presidential Committee to verify Federal Government Properties in all the Nigeria Missions; Presidential Committee to decongest Ports, Customs Overtime/Cargo. He has also attended several Seminars, Conferences and Workshops to broaden his knowledge. Abubakar A. Giza is married with children. His hobbies are farming, traveling, making friends and socializing.
